Citizen Observatories for Water Management

COWM2016 Venice, 7-9 giugno 2016

The city of Venice hosted an International Conference on 7th, 8th and 9th June 2016, titled: “Citizen Observatories for Water Management”.

 The Conference was focused on the potential of Citizen Science in the European water innovation landscape, and in particular in the fields of flood risk management, environmental monitoring and meeting the challenges of the European Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC) and Flood Directive (2007/60/EC).

"The conference was an opportunity for comparison and exchange of experiences between all parties involved on the development, implementation and use of new models and new technology to bring citizens closer to water resources and the protection from flooding."
